Basketball Recap: Trinity Prep Finds Playoff Glory Versus Alleluia Community

Trinity Prep extended their postseason success on Saturday against Alleluia Community. They walked away with a 71-64 victory over the Alleluia Community Angels. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Angels two weeks ago, they had to take a 65-63 loss.

Beau Blocker was his usual excellent self, going 13-for-30 on his way to 36 points. The game was his eighth in a row with at least 18 points. Gerald Layne was another key player, going 8-for-17 to rack up 17 points and seven rebounds.

Trinity Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. As for Alleluia Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Trinity Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 89-41 win against Trinity Christian on the 13th. As for Alleluia Community, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-65 victory against Peachtree Academy on the 11th.
