Baseball Game Preview: Cameron Comets vs. Barron Golden Bears

Cameron hasn't had much luck against Barron recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Comets will head out to take on the Golden Bears at 5:00 p.m. Cameron knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Barron likes a good challenge.

Cameron proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Hayward 11-10.

Meanwhile, Barron came up short against Hayward on Monday and fell 5-1.

Barron saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zac Edwards, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Lucas Hagen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Cameron pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Barron, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Cameron couldn't quite get it done against Barron in their previous meeting back in April as they fell 6-3. Can the Comets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
