Baseball Recap: Workman Lobos vs. Ganesha Giants
Workman had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-14 to make it five. They lost 24-0 to the Ganesha Giants. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Giants this season, with their most recent loss being a 30-0 defeat on Tuesday.
As for Ganesha, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 18-3. The result was nothing new for the Giants, who have now won 13 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
For Ganesha's part, Christian Eaton made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Eaton was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last six times he's played.
In other batting news, Evan Longoria was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs. Isiaiah Ibarra was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Looking ahead, Workman will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against La Puente at 3:30 p.m. The Lobos are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Ganesha does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
