Soccer Recap: Russell Comes Up Short

If Russell was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mason County on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Red Devils fell just short of the Blazer Tomcats by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Russell were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Blazer apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Russell's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Blazer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7-1.

Coming up, Russell will venture away from home to take on Fleming County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blazer, they will head out on the road to square off against Rowan County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
