Volleyball Recap: Hillsdale Takes a Loss

If Hillsdale was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of West Holmes on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hillsdale fell 3-1 to Fairless on Tuesday. Hillsdale has struggled against Fairless recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Hillsdale started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-11, 25-17.

Fairless was led to victory by Morgan Burdge and Franki Buchmann. Burdge had 25 digs and two aces, while Buchmann had ten digs and four aces. Those 25 digs gave Burdge a new career-high.

Hillsdale now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fairless, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Hillsdale has already played their next match (against Mapleton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fairless, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Strasburg-Franklin on the 23rd.
