Recap: Pine Ridge Thorpes vs. Red Cloud Crusaders
The Pine Ridge Thorpes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-23 defeat at the hands of Red Cloud. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pine Ridge in their matchups with Red Cloud: they've now lost five in a row.
Red Cloud found their leader in underclassman Ashlan Carlow-Blount, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten assists. Carlow-Blount is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Taleah Lunderman was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.
Pine Ridge has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Red Cloud, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Ridge will take on Todd County at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Red Cloud, they will play host again and welcome Sturgis Brown, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
