Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ocean City). They put the hurt on the Absegami Braves with a sharp 14-3 victory on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Brooke Douglas made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Leah Catto was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Vaugh, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Ocean City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Absegami only managed three hits.

Ocean City's record now sits at 9-4. As for Absegami, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2.

Coming up, Ocean City will face off against Egg Harbor Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Absegami, they will take on Atlantic County Institute of Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
