Tohatchi waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They never let the Thoreau Hawks get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Tatum Bitsie, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Shawn Francisco was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Tohatchi's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Thoreau, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tohatchi will challenge Hozho Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Thoreau, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Navajo Pine at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.17 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
