Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Loss Ends Everett's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Everett's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against the Stanwood Spartans, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 on October 7th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-21, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Everett still got an impressive performance from Ava Urbanozo, who had 27 assists and 11 digs. Urbanozo has been hot for a while, having posted 21 or more assists the last 19 times she's played.

Everett's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Stanwood, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1-1.
