Volleyball Recap: Pearl Victorious

Pearl lost to Florence on Saturday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Pirates came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0.

Pearl easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20.

Pearl had a senior duo take command as Izzy Watts had 18 assists and seven digs and Bailey Chism had nine digs and three assists. Those 18 assists set a new season-high mark for Watts. Calli Thomas also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Pearl's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Florence, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Pearl wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Warren Central on the 23rd. Florence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
