Baseball Recap: Pueblo East Comes Up Short

If Pueblo East was riding high fresh off their 11-1 takedown of Thomas Jefferson on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Pueblo East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JACOB VONDERSMITH, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Pueblo East's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Pueblo County, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.

Coincidentally, Pueblo East and Pueblo County will both be playing Pueblo Centennial the next time they take the field. The Hornets will host the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
