Recap: Ridgedale Rockets vs. Ridgemont Golden Gophers
The Ridgedale Rockets had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 43-32 win over Ridgemont. That's another feather in the cap for Ridgedale, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ridgemont's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anna Ramsey, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruth Eckstein, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds and five steals.
Ridgedale is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Ridgemont, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgedale will face off against Elgin at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Elgin will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Ridgemont on the road again on Monday and play against Ada at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
