Basketball Game Preview: Middlesex Chargers vs. Lancaster Red Devils

Middlesex is 0-10 against Lancaster since December of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. without much rest, having both just played. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Thursday, Middlesex was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-54 to King William.

Meanwhile, Lancaster played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Colonial Beach, falling 36-8. The Red Devils have struggled against the Drifters recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Middlesex, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Middlesex came up short against Lancaster in their previous meeting back in February of 2025, falling 46-35. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
