Basketball Recap: Beamer Takes a Loss

Beamer lost against Timberline back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Beamer Titans were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Timberline Blazers.

Timberline got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenyon Simmons out in front who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Simmons is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Damari Evans, who posted 12 points.

Beamer's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Timberline, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-12.

Beamer will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Cleveland at 3:30 p.m. on April 11th. One thing working in Beamer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Timberline, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-44 loss against Prairie on the 20th.
