Baseball Game Preview: Fountain Valley Barons vs. Marina Vikings

The Fountain Valley Barons will face off against the Marina Vikings at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Fountain Valley and five for Marina.

Fountain Valley is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since March 25th on Friday. They fell just short of Newport Harbor by a score of 6-4.

Tyler Peshke made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Anthony Zamora, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Marina came up short against Corona del Mar on Friday and fell 5-2.

Marina saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was BRADLEY HALL, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Fountain Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Everything went Fountain Valley's way against Marina in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Fountain Valley made off with a 7-1 win. Will the Barons repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
