Baseball Recap: Exeter-West Greenwich Now 8-2 over Last Ten Games

Exeter-West Greenwich won the last time they faced Providence Country Day and things went their way on Monday too. The Scarlet Knights walked away with a 7-3 win over the Knights.

Tyler Mediros spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ethan Koczwanski, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Another player making a difference was Owen Lincoln, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Exeter-West Greenwich has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Providence Country Day, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

Coming up, Exeter-West Greenwich will face off against Juanita Sanchez Complex at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Providence Country Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
