Basketball Recap: Rossville Falls Despite Big Games from Cameron Miller and Jack Donovan

Rossville lost against Sacred Heart back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rossville Bulldogs took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sacred Heart Knights.

Rossville's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jack Donovan, who posted 14 points and four steals, and Cameron Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Miller is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Brock Bush was another key player, putting up six points.

Even though they lost, Rossville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Rossville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sacred Heart, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Rossville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 87-27 win against Chapman on the 14th. As for Sacred Heart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-21 defeat against Bishop Ward on the 14th.
