Softball Game Preview: Thoreau Hawks vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils

The Thoreau Hawks will be taking part in a tournament against the Espanola Valley Sundevils at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Thoreau lost 15-5 to Tohatchi on Tuesday. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Espanola Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Los Alamos, falling 11-5.

Espanola Valley saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aliah Villalobos, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Ezrie Villalobos was another, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Thoreau's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Espanola Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
