Colusa skates past Paradise with ease

Recap: Colusa RedHawks vs. Paradise Bobcats

The Colusa RedHawks had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27 points), and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Paradise 70-36 at home. Colusa has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Isaiah Travis was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jace Mackaben, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.

Colusa is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Paradise, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colusa will challenge East Nicolaus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Nicolaus will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1117th, while Colusa is ranked 516th). As for Paradise, they will head out on the road to face off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Live Oak is out to stop a eight-game streak of losses at home.
