Basketball Recap: Kooper Mccarthy Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central

Mattanawcook won the last time they faced Central and things went their way on Monday too. The Mattanawcook Lynx enjoyed a cozy 58-41 win over the Central Red Devils. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lynx.

Mattanawcook's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kooper McCarthy, who posted eight points in addition to seven steals and six assists. McCarthy is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Oliver, who had nine points and six boards.

Mattanawcook's record now sits at 6-2.

Mattanawcook will take on Penquis Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mattanawcook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season. As for Central, they will face off against Dexter at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
