Recap: Eagle Pass Eagles vs. Laredo LBJ Wolves
There's no place like home for The Eagle Pass Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took their game at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 48-6 win over Laredo LBJ. The result was nothing new for Eagle Pass, who have now won four matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Andres Villarreal continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 105 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 317 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Wilfredo Frausto, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Eagle Pass' victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.0 points per game. As for Laredo LBJ, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Pass will challenge United South at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laredo LBJ, they will head out on the road to face off against United at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. United has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 158 points over their last four games.
