Softball Recap: Normal University Drops Highest Score of Season Against Tri-Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Normal University). Everything went their way against the Tri-Valley Vikings on Friday as they made off with a 22-15 victory. The Pioneers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Normal University's victory bumped their record up to 13-16. As for Tri-Valley, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6-1.

Looking ahead, Normal University will square off against Morton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pioneers are facing the Potters at the right time seeing as the Potters are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tri-Valley, they will take on LeRoy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
