Baseball Recap: Belton-Honea Path Takes a Loss

Belton-Honea Path lost against Crescent last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bears fell 7-2 to the Tigers. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belton-Honea Path saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhett Turner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Belton-Honea Path now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Crescent, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton-Honea Path will head out to challenge West-Oak at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Crescent, they are taking a road trip to square off against Walhalla at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
