Softball Game Preview: Durham Trojans vs. Hamilton Braves

The Durham Trojans will face off against the Hamilton Braves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Durham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Durham is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering East Nicolaus just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 10-6 to the Spartans. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trojans, who until this match were averaging 3.78 runs allowed.

Durham saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Spence, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Hamilton's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Biggs on Tuesday. The Braves put the hurt on Maxwell with a sharp 23-4 victory. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

The win got Hamilton back to even at 10-10. As for Durham, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6-1.
