Volleyball Recap: Normandy Falls to North Ridgeville in First Game of Season

Normandy kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the North Ridgeville Rangers. The Invaders haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

While Normandy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into North Ridgeville's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-14.

Ariana Valentin Rivera paced Normandy's offense, picking up six kills. Valentin Rivera got some help from Adriana Shelley and her 14 assists.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Normandy will welcome Mayfield at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Ridgeville, they will be playing at home against Avon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Rangers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
