Volleyball Recap: Normandy Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Normandy kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the North Ridgeville Rangers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

While Normandy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into North Ridgeville's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-14.

Ariana Valentin Rivera paced Normandy's offense, picking up six kills. Valentin Rivera got some help from Adriana Shelley and her 14 assists.

Normandy has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Mayfield on the 18th. As for North Ridgeville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Avon on the 19th.
