Basketball Game Preview: Seymour Wildcats vs. Harding Presidents

The Seymour Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Harding Presidents at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seymour is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.5 points per game this season.

Seymour is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Torrington on Friday. Seymour took a 65-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Torrington.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Logan Hamilton, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points. Joey Carrafiello was another key player, going 6 for 12 on his way to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Harding scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of Platt by a score of 82-79. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (62), the Presidents still had to take the loss.

Seymour has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Harding, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Everything came up roses for Seymour against Harding in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 90-62 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seymour since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
