Softball Recap: De Anza Takes a Loss

De Anza fell victim to Pinole Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Pinole Valley Spartans, falling 10-0. The Dons have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

De Anza's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pinole Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De Anza will welcome Salesian College Preparatory at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. De Anza is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Pinole Valley, they will host Albany at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Pinole Valley also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 10.6 runs per game.
