Football Game Preview: Rangely Panthers vs. Plateau Valley Cowboys

The Rangely Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Plateau Valley Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Rangely put up the most points they have all season on Friday. They blew past Lake County 60-12. The victory was some much needed relief for Rangely as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Plateau Valley not only won last Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since November 1, 2024 (when they won 62-12). They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lake County 50-14.

Plateau Valley's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Rangely, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-5.

Rangely was dealt a bruising 54-20 loss at the hands of Plateau Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
