Preview: Santiago vs. Rancho Verde
Santiago will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against Rancho Verde in at 4:00 PM. Rancho Verde will be strutting in after a win while Santiago will be stumbling in from a loss.
Last Thursday, Santiago have to be hurting after a devastating 7-40 defeat at the hands of Murrieta Valley. Santiago were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-20.
Meanwhile, everything went their way against Quartz Hill last week as the team secured a 54-0 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.
Santiago's loss took them down to 0-2 while Rancho Verde's triumph pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for Santiago would reverse both their bad luck and Rancho Verde's good luck. We'll see if Santiago manages to pull off that tough task or if Rancho Verde keeps their momentum going instead.
