Pershing put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They snuck past the Central Trail Blazers with a 6-0 win. This was payback for the Doughboys, who suffered a 40-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pershing's record is now 5-2. As for Central, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Pershing will head out on the road to challenge Denby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
