University Lab is 3-0 against Plaquemine since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The University Lab Cubs will welcome the Plaquemine Green Devils at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (University Lab has three straight victories, Plaquemine has 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

University Lab's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Michael, sneaking past 1-0. Give the Cubs' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Plaquemine fell victim to Parkview Baptist and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Green Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Eagles are ranked first).

University Lab's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for Plaquemine, their loss dropped their record down to 0-14.

Everything went University Lab's way against Plaquemine in their previous matchup back in January of 2017, as University Lab made off with an 8-0 victory. Will University Lab repeat their success, or does Plaquemine have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
