Softball Game Preview: Dardanelle Sand Lizards vs. Morrilton Devil Dogs

Dardanelle is 1-9 against Morrilton since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Dardanelle will head out to face off against Morrilton at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Dardanelle's win against Waldron wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Dardanelle sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Waldron on Friday. The Sand Lizards haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Morrilton waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Red Hawks as they made off with a 24-3 victory. The game marked the Devil Dogs' most dominant win of the season so far.

Dardanelle's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Morrilton, they now have a winning record of 6-5-1.

Dardanelle might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Morrilton in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Dardanelle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
