Basketball Recap: Switzerland County Comes Up Short

After soaring to 74 points the game before, Switzerland County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by the Madison Cubs 64-13. The Pacers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cubs from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Juliana Davis went supernova For Madison., shooting 53% from the field to rack up 27 points in addition to seven steals and five boards. Davis' big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Roark, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Switzerland County's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Madison, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Switzerland County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-56 defeat against Henryville on the 15th. As for Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against South Dearborn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
