Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Landen Parker and Isaiah Washington Lead Fort Bend Kempner to Victory

There's no place like home for Fort Bend Kempner, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took down the Victoria East Titans 60-45 on Friday. For the Cougars, this counts as revenge for the 52-49 win the Titans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

Leading Fort Bend Kempner to victory were Isaiah Washington and Landen Parker. Washington posted 12 points and seven boards, while Parker almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards Parker has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Haynes, who had six points.

Fort Bend Kempner smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Fort Bend Kempner has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Victoria East, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.

Fort Bend Kempner will square off against Victoria West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Victoria East, they will challenge Randle at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Randle will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Victoria East surely won't give up without a fight.
