Volleyball Recap: Lewis Cass Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Ava Hubner and Lauren Tocco

Lewis Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Wabash Apaches, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Kings of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

While Lewis Cass ultimately came up short, they really made Wabash work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-15, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Lewis Cass had strong showings from Lauren Tocco, who had 13 digs and three aces, and Ava Hubner, who had 17 digs and five kills. Tocco has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Lewis Cass' loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Wabash, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
