Basketball Recap: Jamer Wright's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hemingway over Scott's Branch + How To Watch

After flying high against Virtus Academy on Monday, Hemingway came back down to earth. The Tigers lost 62-36 to the Scott's Branch Eagles on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost nine in a row.

Hemingway's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamer Wright, who posted eight points and ten boards. Tayvon Scott was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Scott's Branch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nyren Bowman led the charge by shooting 56% from the field to rack up 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Makel, who scored nine points and four steals.

Hemingway's record is now 1-1.
