After a string of four wins, Northwestern's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 3rd.
Northwestern wouldn't go down easily and took Eleanor Roosevelt into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-19, 23-25, 25-27, 15-4.
Northwestern now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
As of now, neither Northwestern nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
