Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Preparatory Academy Comes Up Short

Roosevelt Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Wickenburg Christian Academy Lion, falling 76-24. The Aces were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-10.

Wickenburg Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Gustin, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Gustin a new career-high. Tate Poppe was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

Roosevelt Preparatory Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.

As for Wickenburg Christian Academy, they will take on Tri-City Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
