Volleyball Recap: Southport Gets the Win

Southport picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos.

Southport not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Lafayette Jefferson between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19.

Southport found their leader in sophomore Lily Boone, who had 17 digs and four assists.

Southport's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southport will take on Franklin Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they will welcome West Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Red Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bronchos surely won't give up without a fight.
