Volleyball Recap: Keely Cadwell and Brynlee Zieman Secure Win for Velva

Velva's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Drake/Anamoose Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Aggies not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 9th (when they won 3-0).

One reason for the win was Velva's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-17.

Leading Velva to victory were Brynlee Zieman and Keely Cadwell. Zieman had 11 digs, while Cadwell had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs Zieman has posted since back in September.

Velva's victory bumped their record up to 16-12-2. As for Drake/Anamoose, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9-1.

Coming up, Velva will venture away from home to face off against Tioga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Drake/Anamoose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
