Basketball Recap: Homer Comes Up Short

Homer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by East Jackson 59-29. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against East Jackson this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-47 back in December of 2024.

Homer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for East Jackson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Homer is taking a road trip to challenge Concord at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Homer surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Jackson, they will host Milan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Jackson is facing Milan at the right time seeing as Milan is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
