Volleyball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Fountain-Fort Carson came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Liberty Lancers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Trojans not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 18th (when they won 3-0).

Fountain-Fort Carson was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 25-16.

Fountain-Fort Carson can attribute much of their success to Michelle Sparks, who had six aces and three digs. Those six aces gave Sparks a new career-high.

Sparks wasn't the only good servers: Fountain-Fort Carson was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.

Fountain-Fort Carson's record now sits at 11-5. As for Liberty, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
