Football Game Preview: Carthage Comets vs. Whitesboro Warriors

The Carthage Comets will square off against the Whitesboro Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Carthage 10.9, Whitesboro 12.9) so any points scored will be well earned.

Carthage is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 48 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Fayetteville-Manlius on Friday. They fell 21-12 to the Hornets. The loss was the Comets' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Whitesboro waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Cyclones 36-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Cyclones are ranked 400th).

Whitesboro's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Carthage, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 6-1.
