Basketball Recap: Miller Comes Up Short

Miller managed to keep up with Millersport until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Miller Falcons lost 60-38 to the Millersport Lakers. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Miller still got an impressive performance from Logan Doughty, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Doughty is becoming a predictor of Miller's success: when he posts at least ten rebounds the team is 4-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Thompson, who posted three points along with six assists and five boards.

Miller's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Millersport, their victory bumped their record up to 5-13.

Miller has already played their next contest, a 56-27 defeat against Southern on the 8th. As for Millersport, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-50 loss against Granville Christian Academy on the 8th.
