Soccer Game Preview: Linden vs. DeWitt

The Linden Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the DeWitt Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DeWitt took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Linden, who comes in off a win.

Linden will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Monday, then bounced right back against Swartz Creek on Wednesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 5-1 margin over the Dragons. Linden might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, DeWitt faced Hartland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Panthers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. The loss was DeWitt's first of the season.

Linden's win bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for DeWitt, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-1.

Linden beat DeWitt by a goal in their previous matchup back in June of 2023, winning 2-1. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
