Baseball Recap: Galileo Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Galileo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wallenberg Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Elijah Michael was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Michael was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases. Michael is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other pitching news, Zane Ridley looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single hit any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Diego Gil, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Shijiree Ariunerdene, who scored a run and stole Four bases. while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
