Baseball Recap: Fox Lane Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Fox Lane walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mahopac Wolf Pac on Sunday, sneaking past 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Foxes have posted since May 5th.

Jackson Carroll spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Andrew Diaz was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. P.J Stonsby was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Fox Lane is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mahopac, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.

As of now, neither Fox Lane nor the Wolf Pac have any future games scheduled.
