Ramona waltzed into their game on Thursday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rubidoux Falcons a 23-0 shutout. The Rams' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last seven matchups.

Kaytlin Stephens made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Ramona got a massive performance out of Kylie Guzman, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Mia Guzman was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs and two RBI.

Ramona pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.6 runs over those games. As for Rubidoux, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Ramona will take on King at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Rubidoux, they will be playing at home against La Sierra at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
