Baseball Game Preview: West Jessamine Colts vs. Burgin Bulldogs

West Jessamine is a perfect 10-0 against Burgin since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Colts will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, West Jessamine didn't have quite enough to beat Tates Creek and fell 5-4. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Jessamine got a good showing from Landon Davis, who pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Davis has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Dylan Milholland made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Mavrick Napier was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Burgin lost 14-8 to Model on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

West Jessamine's defeat dropped their record down to 12-24. As for Burgin, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
